Big kid beds

I was finaly able to take down one of my parent's old bunk beds that they weren't using and set it up in Reed's room. Marian was just getting too big for her crib (and if toilet training is comming soon) and needed a toddler bed. Reed is now big enough for a twin (even though he looks so small in it) so he gave his toddler bed to Marian, who thought it was fun to play in until it was time to go to sleep. I ended up spending about 1/2 the night in the room with her because she kept waking up and wanting me to stay with her until she fell back asleep. Normaly I won't do that because I don't want her thinking that I will sleep all night in her room with her, but I figured last night was an exception to the rule. The kids must think that Santa came early (if they knew who he was). Along with the new beds (which Reed was so excited to get) I found all of my old "My Little Ponies" under the bed at my parent's house. So both of the kids have been playing with them all day. I am so suprised at how well they have lasted over the last 20 some odd years. (They look the same as I remember them looking when I played with them) If you look closely at the picture of Reed in his bed you can see them on the floor. Also they got a trampoline! I was in the D.I. looking for one about a week ago when I bumped into someone from my old ward in Springville who said she had one just sitting in her garage that we could have, so Jeff picked it up last night and brought it home. The kids have loved it! Reed was very excited to get his new bed that and as soon as I got the sheets on it he was jumping in and saying goodnight before he even got his p.j.'s on! I am glad that my kids like to go to bed. The other night I fed the kids dinner and was getting ready to go for my evening walk with the kids and Reed told me that he was ready for bed. He doesn't like the long walks sometimes, so I called his bluff ( it was only 7:00) and put him in his p.j.'s and put him in bed. He just rolled over and said "goodnight mom" and that was that. So I didn't get to go on my walk and both kids were in bed by 7:30. Needless to say the rest of the night was rather boring because Jeff was working and there the kids were in bed. I don't even remember what I did, probably cleaned the house and watched t.v. On a side note, the Breeders Cup is comming up, and I hope to be able to catch it. They have added 7 more races and spread them out over 2 days now instead of just 1. That is the best for me to watch 14 races, normaly, on the regular t.v. so I get to watch them :O)
