"Colder Weather" stories :o)

If you get sound on your computer you have noticed the song "Colder Weather" by the Zac Brown Band. That has been our theme song so far this year, every time it starts to warm up the next day it snows. Old man winter will just not let go of us this year so it seems. Hence the words of the song "but I'm stuck in colder weather, maybe tomorrow will be better...". The weather man said that he can guarantee higher temps come June and July, but at this point where I woke up this morning to about an inch of snow on the ground I am begining to wonder about June. So now you know the story behind the song playing right now :o)

On a different note I have to add a few Dani moments because I don't remember Marian being this way quite as bad a Dani is. We have a "me too!" monster at our house. Anytime Marian gets something be it a hug, sticker, toy, food, you name it, the "me too!" monster needs to have one as well. The other day for example Marian had hit her leg on her bed and came crying to me, so I gave her a hug and was talking to her when Dani comes running in behind her stops then starts whining (trying to make it sound like she was hurt) and starts patting her head, then (just to show you how smart this girl is) she falls down on the floor hitting her head on a Nemo pillow just to prove that she was hurt too. A few days later the girls are in the bathroom and Marian starts crying that Dani hit her. So Dani walks out and almost on cue starts to cry about her hand (yeah the one she used to hit Marian with!) So Marian is crying about Dani hitting her and Dani is crying about her hand that hit Marian hurts! LOL. (It has been hard to keep a straight face!) If I am reading a story to Dani and the other kids want to listen to it she closes the book and throws a fit! I know I should be taking this more seriously, but I have a hard time not laughing because it is so obvious! Anyway that is life at our house for now :o)

I think I am starting to figure out this new camera! It can take really good pictures, for some reason or another I have been hit and miss with it until the end of class today

Happy Birthday Jeff!

The kids were super excited to give Jeff his birthday gifts this year because they were games to play on his play station. Jeff had played the 1st Sly Cooper game with the kids watching and they loved it, so he told me to get the next two for his birthday. The day they came in the mail I let the kids see what it was that we were getting him and for the next couple of days Marian and Reed both kept telling daddy that he was getting a really neat birthday present, and Marian would add, "but it's not Sly Cooper!" :o) Love how kids just can't keep a secret at this age :o) At least he was surprised by my gift :o) I got him some Bose ear buds for his MP3 player :o) He is such a music nerd :o) (I mean that in the best of ways! )

Here is my Marian Monkey McBean! Today's theme was perfect for her because we are always calling her our little monkey!

She is swinging her hips here! I can never quite catch just how cute it really is!

The great Rocky!

I was out weeding and I looked over across the yard to see what Rocky was doing. I saw him bouncing around playing with something. I thought what is he playing with, then I saw a small something bounce across the lawn. I thought that can't be a mouse can it! So I went over for a closer look and sure enough there was a small mouse that he had found. He happily played with for at least 45 minutes until I think he accidentally bit it's head (the poor thing) and squished it's brains out. I started thinking maybe I should just buy a mouse every now and then for him to play with, then I thought no, that is cruel and unusual punishment for the poor mouse. So when I showed Jeff the video he dubed Rocky as the Great mouse catcher! Finally something the poor guy wasn't afraid of! :o)

Reed's White Belt!

My little White Belt boy! This is him right after he broke the board and a few other things. To see those "other things" keep scrolling down! :o) I can't believe how grown up he is getting!

He earned his belt! Yay!!!

I love the "respect"!

Here is Reed at his last class before he gets his white belt. He is getting ready to jump off a springboad and kick out sideways.

He had so much fun and really did improve quite a bit over the month he was there, but I think we will wait for another year or so until I put him in full time :o) He tries so hard but I just don't think the mental focus is quite there yet.
