Cousins!

This is my cousin Carla and her two kids (her hubby is in Mexico for a month long internship so she came up to say hello!) Henry, and Kaia. We even got Rocky in the picture. We met up at Salem Pond and had a picnic dinner and then we watched the ducks and played on the playground.

Reed was swinging on the swings on his tummy and face planted his face in the wood chips :o) (he looks like he was crying, but he really was laughing)

The SLIDE!

Watching the ducks on the pond

Dani found another little girl her age to play with

Carla and I are only 6 months apart, and Marian and Kaia are just about the same!

Dani showing off in a cute dress :o)

Lazy days of summer?!!!

This is what Reed and Marian love to spend their afternoons doing!

The "treat" they were promised after they finished their swimming lessons they got to go swim in the outdoor Scera pool!

The "lazy dog days of summer", well at least some one can call them that.

Kids playing in the slip and slide the first real warm day we could put it out! :o)

Ready, set, SLIDE!

The kids love playing in the water for about a half an hour, if I remember right that was about how long we( me and my siblings) used to love running around in the sprinklers :o)

Marian is a little water bug!

Sharks! :o) So I took the Webelos to the Bean museum and brought the kids along with us, everyone had a good time and loved the ice cream afterwards :o) It was quite a warm day.

Funny nosed antelope

Of course the cub scout is going to try and pick the zebra's nose.

The kids were very scared of this bear (can't say I blame them) it was all I could do to get a pic with them and it.

Fencing at Thanksgiving Point!

Ok get ready for LOTS of pictures! LOL
I took Reed and Marian up with me to Thanksgiving Point where they were having a "Pirate" themed night. My parents were up there promoting their Fencing Academy and so Reed and Marian got to fence as a kind of display :o) They let all the kids there who wanted to try fencing give it a go :0) We really had a good turn out and ran out of the foam swords that we were giving away too! We got poured on for a few minutes and then got to watch a huge flock of pelicans fly around for a bit. The kids love the rainbow that came out and I have decided I really need to take a walk around the Garden there, it was beautiful from what I saw! Anyway here are some of the pictures from that evening! (I even got to suit up and fence a little!)
Reed getting ready for his first round!

Here are my two pirates! ARRR! (it was held down by the waterfall in the Gardens)

Marian only really wanted to try the fencing once, after that she was just the social butterfly :o)

Most of the time there were plenty of kids around to fence each other, but once in a while there would be only on kid around and we would have Reed come over and fence with the other little kid. I was 8 and up to use the foil and if they were younger they used the rubber swords :o)

Here is Reed fencing uncle Gabe, and below here is where I get my chance to fence Reed!

Marian and Reed finally got to fence each other at the end

Marian and Reed fight it out! :o)

Grandma and Grandpa McNeff with Reed and Marian and aunt Mariah all tuckered out.

Summer, what we're up to :o)

Swimming lessons for the older two and then Reed has T-ball again this summer :o) I took all of us in early today to help them get the wiggles out of their system so they would pay better attention to their teachers, I think it helped, a bit. Dani sure liked being able to go swimming too!
