The drive out there was of course beautiful!
Here is Multnomah Falls from the freeway
The kids thought the Dam was fun to watch, the even saw a rainbow in the water. This was the last day they were letting the water run through like this, and this was the latest in the year that the spillway has been open, there was a lot of snow up on Mt. Hood...
The fish ladder so the salmon could get up and over the dam. It was fun to watch the fish jumping up and over, then at the top you could look down and see them just swimming there they are huge!
Here are the power turbines that give us our electricity
That is one of the smaller salmon
We found the Lampreys!
Wouldn't want to have one of them grab hold you of you now would ya!
Some of those fish were as big as the girls!
Next it was off to the fish hatchery....This is Herman, if I thought the salmon were huge.....This Sturgeon is 12 feet long and over 70 years old! I forgot how much he weighed, but believe me you would not want to run into him while snorkeling!
They have Rainbow Trout that you can feed, so they are very large due to the large about of food they eat....
So beautiful up here!
Dani wanted to make faces for the camera
Heading home and the view of the Columbia River...
