A few weeks ago we decided to stop by the local flea market and we found this kitty and fish bowl (no fish at the time). Both Jeff and I loved it and since it was priced right we decided to get it. Went home and looked it up and found out is is an antique! So then last week I had to get the fish to go in the bowl, and wala! The flower is from the tree at the side of the house.
We also let the kids pick out a book, we didn't look to closely at Dani's but when we got home we couldn't stop laughing! It was called "The Book of Opposites" We laughed because we are constantly saying that Dani is our little girl of opposites. If she goes outside she says she is inside and vise versa, if the water is hot she says it's cold, her shoes are almost always on the wrong feet, and her pants are almost always on backwards. So for her to pick this book out of all the books that she could have chosen we thought it was hilarious! We had to take daddy to work the other day because I needed to use the car. So Roxy got to come, the road it a bit twisty in her opinion.
Last weekend I took a trip to the Portland Expo Center (via Washington) for a pet fair that was being held there. After getting lost twice I finally made it and it was pretty neat. They had a section of exotic animals such as this kangaroo along with a bobcat and lynx and a bunch of snakes and such, the kangaroo however moved funny and startled Roxy who seemed to think it was some scary dog eating animal. This is also proof that there are kangaroos in Oregon ;o)
Last weekend we took a trip to the Washington Square Mall and while walking around it found the Tesla auto makers. This car is completely electric and is faster than a Ferrari! I thought it was pretty cool (and it's only 70,000) ;o)
Dani loves to dress up and Jeff caught this glam shot while I was out at the pet fair
Jeff's birthday! He got to stay home, which meant he got to help pick up the kids from school on their first day of Ukulele and dance lessons after school. Oh and here is the tree where the "roses" come from. Still don't know what it is called, but it is very pretty to look at!
and here is the house :o)
Jeff's cake and presents...
He loved the pickled Okra that his sister sent!
He also got a stack of CD's
Here is a sunset that the kids and I watched and found things in the clouds... It was a fun night!
