Ok so we fly into Portland Friday afternoon and after finding our hotel we check the maps and find the address (not that that really mattered) of the two Oriental gardens in Portland and decided to head to the Chinese one (as it should have been closer to our hotel). Well after getting on the freeway we realized that we took the wrong one, and after trying to get off at the nearest exit, we found ourselves on a different freeway. So we took another exit hoping to get off and found ourselves on a different freeway. So we finally see a sign for a children's museum and we pull off to ask where we are, but as we are driving through the parking lot we see a sign that also lists the zoo. So we think, hey, we weren't planing on the zoo, but we're here so maybe, and as we are driving to the zoo parking lot we see a sign that lists the Japanese garden on the bottom. We were ecstatic!!! We couldn't believe our wonderful luck! So here are some of the Beautiful scenes from that garden! It was so serene, and calm there. I would get the membership as fast as I could if I lived there.
I loved the moss on everything!!!
The leaves were so pretty in the sun light!
This is one of the mountains that we saw as we flew in.
Here we are entering the garden
The sand garden. They rake the sand to look like water.
Look at how big the trees were!
