The kids have had several fun after school events lately, here is a math night where they came and played games while doing math for the winning answers! They had lots of fun!
Meanwhile Dani stayed home with daddy and played legos and talked his ears off ;o)
Have we said yet how many yummy Asian and sea food places there are to eat up here? Well Jeff found this sushi bar, these two conveyor belts move all different kinds of sushi around and the plates are color coded. So you eat what you want then at the end they add up your plates (which are around a dollar each) and you pay for what you ate!
We took Dani when Jeff and I went to lunch one day (all she ate were the strawberries and grapes) She thought it was really neat.
Then we had to go back and let the other kids try it one time. It made Reed feel really grown up that he could choose what he wanted to eat. Jeff would let him take things off the conveyor belt by himself, but he kept asking for the raw salmon pictured up top, Jeff kept telling him that he may not like it and would ask him if he liked raw fish. Reed would tell him no, but the next time one came around he was asking for it again. So near the end Jeff let him take one. He put it in his mouth, chewed it a bit and then spit it back out saying "it's awful!" (I think it was more the texture of raw fish than the taste, it really didn't have a strong taste to it) Jeff made him eat what he took though. It must not have been that bad because he didn't fuss at all about having to eat it.
They all got to try Calamari! They loved eating with chopsicks too!
This one is just for fun ;o) a collection of Marian's latest fun drawings!
