"Tear Down the Statue of Liberty"
"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breath free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
It is time we tear down the Statue of Liberty for she no longer stands true. There are far too many who are at work binding the broken chain at her feet. The lamp she holds is darkened by the cloth of hatred over her people's faces. Though those she yearns to comfort can still see it true, she has become nothing but a trap to the poor huddled masses seeking refuge on her shores. Hate, Anger, Jealousy, and Fear have replaced her message of Love and Compassion. So the time has come, a new era begins. Tear down the Lovely Lady who welcomes all at her feet, and erect instead the monster who promote fear and pain, for that is what is promised now. -Aliesha Shepherd-
