I took Reed and Marian up with me to Thanksgiving Point where they were having a "Pirate" themed night. My parents were up there promoting their Fencing Academy and so Reed and Marian got to fence as a kind of display :o) They let all the kids there who wanted to try fencing give it a go :0) We really had a good turn out and ran out of the foam swords that we were giving away too! We got poured on for a few minutes and then got to watch a huge flock of pelicans fly around for a bit. The kids love the rainbow that came out and I have decided I really need to take a walk around the Garden there, it was beautiful from what I saw! Anyway here are some of the pictures from that evening! (I even got to suit up and fence a little!)

Marian only really wanted to try the fencing once, after that she was just the social butterfly :o)
Most of the time there were plenty of kids around to fence each other, but once in a while there would be only on kid around and we would have Reed come over and fence with the other little kid. I was 8 and up to use the foil and if they were younger they used the rubber swords :o)
